Victoria and Albert Museum, located in South Kensington, is regarded as the greatest art and design museum in the world. Commonly called V&A, it was founded in 1852 and named in the honor of 19th-century royal couple Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The museum comprises of 145 galleries housing 4.5 million cultural artifacts from all across the globe, spanning more than 5000 years. The collections are ordered by different categories, such as jewelry, architecture, furniture, textiles, ceramics, drawings, and so on.

Visitors can spot world-famous collections of Asian art and post-classical sculpture, explore artifacts by famous artists such as William Morris and Raphael, or join a drop-in session. The British Gallery, The Jewelry Gallery, and The Medieval Renaissance Gallery are definitely worth discovering. Other than the permanent collections, the V&A offers unique temporary exhibitions, free weekly public lectures, and free guided tours. On the premises, there is also a gift shop.
