One of the world’s most famous museums, the Van Gogh Museum is definitely a must-visit place when staying in Amsterdam. For those who don’t know, Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who was not that appreciated in his lifetime. I mean, he only sold one single piece of art.

However, today this nineteenth-century painter is one of the most well-known artists in the world. Step inside this unique museum that holds the world’s largest collection of paintings and other artifacts from Vincent Van Gogh.

The impressive collection includes around 500 drawings, 200 paintings, and nearly 800 letters, as well as works by his contemporaries like Millet, Daubigny, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, to name a few. Some of Van Gogh’s most famous pieces of art can be found here including Vase with Sunflowers and The Potato Eaters.
