The site of the 1972 Summer Olympics, the Olympiapark in Munich has become a famous tourist attraction. It covers an area of nearly 2.7 million sq. m. on the previous training ground for the Royal Bavarian Army – Oberwiesenfeld. Today, the park is a huge recreation center known for its mini-golf courses, skating rinks, tennis courts, and obviously, the Olympic Stadium with almost 60,000 seats. It is a place where you can ride a zip-line over the stadium, play watersports on the lake, and ski on the hill during winters.

There is also the Olympic Tower, a 290-meter-tall TV tower constructed in 1968, that has viewing platforms to offer the panoramic views of the city. This complex attracts people throughout the year with sporting events, festivals, and music concerts. However, most of the people visit the park to enjoy the range of outdoor activities in and near the stadium.
