Teleférico

Takes only 11 minutes to travel the full length of the line, but the Teleférico, or the Madrid Cable Car, offers stunning views over Madrid’s buildings, parks, highways and gardens.

The system has 60 cabins, each for 6 passengers and connects the Parque del Oeste, where the Egyptian Temple of Debod can be found, and the famous Casa de Campo, the largest public park in Madrid, which was once a royal hunting estate. Built by the Swiss company Von Roll, the cable car opened in 1969 and has a length of 2.5 km, as part of the Parque de Atracciones amusement park.

The journey starts on the Paseo del Pintor Rosales Street, takes the passengers over the river Manzanares and ends in Casa de Campo. It’s possible to see the Royal Palace, the San Francisco Basilica and the Torrespana communication tower.

It does not run every day, hence we’d recommend you to visit the Teleférico website for information on opening days.
