Tate Modern is a riverside icon that sits on London’s South Bank dedicated to contemporary and modern art. This gallery is a part of the group of 4 museums (all named Tate) containing around 70,000 artworks that include the national collection of British art. As the name reads, this gallery comprises more contemporary-style artifacts than others. The museum was opened in 2000 and has a huge collection of artworks by artists hailing from almost 50 countries.

There are seven floors of galleries that have multiple rooms containing the work done by individual artists. Sculptures and paintings by some of the world-renowned artists like Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, Henri Matisse, and Marcel Duchamp are displayed here. Moreover, the museum hosts different and specially curated exhibits throughout the year. The Switch House extension offers an amazing view of the city skyline. As the world’s biggest and most-visited modern art museum, the Tate Modern pulls in more than 5.5 million visitors annually.
