Founded in 1947 by the bookseller Alfredo de Almeida and by the fado singer Lucília Carmo, parents of the fado singer Carlos do Carmo, O Faia remains to this day as a reference on Lisbon night.This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Bairro Alto, with its tile panels alluding to the origins of Fado and illuminated by candlelight, which makes the atmosphere mysterious and romantic.

In this restaurant, the balance between the cultural experience of a Fado night and the gastronomic experience that harmonizes with it is a daily task.With an average price per person of 55€, the menu is quite diverse and with vegetarian options, providing a memorable experience.The talent and dedication of Chef André Pola create dishes that combine the excellence and freshness of the season’s products, in creative and contemporary cuisine that does not forget tradition and respect for traditional Portuguese cuisine.
