Located in Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery is unquestionably a place to visit in London no matter if you are an art lover or not. It was established in 1824 and is the 5th most visited museum in the world. The quality and range of art displayed here is truly beyond words. The building itself is a magnificent piece of art, standing above the waterfront. The gallery features painting in the Western European tradition from the 13th-19th centuries which includes Italian Renaissance masterpieces and French impressionist works.

Housing over 2300 wonderful paintings, this museum has some of the world’s most popular artworks by Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Turner, Picasso, Klee, and Rembrandt on display. Of the many iconic paintings, visitors can spot Botticelli’s Venus and Mars and Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. The gallery also features temporary exhibits to make it an ideal place for an art fix. Though permanent collections are always free, the museum mostly charges for exclusive exhibitions.
