Museum Rietberg Zürich

Museum Check location

Home to masterworks from America, Asia, and Africa, Museum Rietberg Zürich was established in the 1950s and houses special exhibitions that focus on international cultures.

The museum is nestled within the charming Rieter Park and also features a historic mansion, as well as a glass pavilion called the Emerald. Many visitors say how this place is interesting from an architectural point of view thanks to its three nicely decorated villas and the surrounding parkland that offers magnificent views.

An interesting fact is that the famous composer, Richard Wagner, spent a few months at the on-site Villa Schönberg where he came up with his Tristan and Isolde libretto.
