London contains several huge parks which the locals refer to as the lungs of the city. Hyde Park is one of the largest and popular parks in the city. Spreading over 142 hectares of land, Hyde Park is one of London’s eight royal parks that must be visited by those looking for a relaxing moment away from the city’s hustle. This park has a great historical significance for hosting rallies and protests, including the protests by Suffragettes. Every week, various artists occupy its famous Speaker’s Corner for debates, protests, and performances.

There are many memorial features in this park including the famous Peter Pan sculpture and the Princess Diana memorial fountain. You can spot the swans and boats gliding over the Serpentine Lake or can continue the memorial walk where you’ll likely pass through the great Kensington Gardens. This site features Italian Gardens and the ornate Albert Memorial. Moreover, the park has three restaurants where you can get anything from hot coffee to tasty snacks.
