Zurich is not short on historical attractions and Fraumünster church is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.

This beautiful Romanesque-Gothic building from the 9th century is a sight to behold. With its lovely stained glass windows by artist Marc Chagall and a series of frescos by Paul Bodmer, Fraumünster is probably the most visited church in the center of Zurich.

An interesting fact is that the church used to be a Benedictine abbey for aristocratic city women. Today, live organ performances and guided tours are offered to the public at this Gothic church.
